Poco General FAQ - Can Poco read mail from MSN?

Q: After struggling to figure out why poco gives an error of "unrecognized authentication" when trying to send mail while connected to MSN (yes I checked "authenticate" and entered the correct username password) I came across some information that may shed some light on this.

Does this special "authentication code" mean those who use MSN will now not be able to use poco?

In all likelihood, yes.

This is, of course, an excellent time to leave MSN, as they should not be locking you into a particular platform (it's ultimately a violation of their part of the TOS bargain).
